Are your tours private?

Yes. Our tours are fully private experiences, so stops and timings are adjusted whenever you need and according to your own interests.

Which days do you operate?

Tours run every day, with the exception of the 25th of December and the 1st of January.

How early should I arrive for pickup?

Please try to be at the pickup location at least 15 minutes before the tour starts.

Is there much walking involved?

Some tours include short walking stretches, so we kindly recommend comfortable clothes and shoes. If you or anyone in your party has a medical condition, please let us know in advance.

Who will guide our tour?

Our guides are professionals specialised in tourism and oenology, with a deep knowledge of the Douro Valley, its history and its customs.

Which languages do the guides speak?

They are native Portuguese speakers and also extremely fluent in English.

Weather & What to Wear

What should I wear in summer?

Use light, comfortable clothing in breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen, as the valley can get very hot. We recommend a hat and sun cream. Average temperatures are around 27C, reaching up to 34C.

What should I wear in winter?

Use warm, comfortable clothing, as the region reaches very low temperatures in winter. Average temperatures are around 8C, between 3C and 11C.

What if it rains?

If rain is forecast, we recommend waterproof clothing and an umbrella.

What is provided during the day?

We provide fresh mineral water and crackers throughout the day, and a WiFi hotspot is available on board.

How do we pay and confirm a booking?
