1. The operator

Services are provided by OportoBus, Rua das Moutas N.º200, 4475-205 Gondim-Maia, Portugal, registered with Turismo de Portugal under RNAVT no. 13600 and transport licence (Alvará) no. 200793.

2. Bookings and confirmation

A booking is only confirmed after we receive payment or send you a written confirmation. Prices shown on the website include VAT unless stated otherwise. Tour prices are per service for private tours, not per person, unless the page states otherwise.

Please check pickup time, location and passenger count in your confirmation. If anything is wrong, contact us as soon as possible.

3. Payment

Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. For some services we may agree payment on the day or by bank transfer, which will be stated in your confirmation.

Most bookings are confirmed with a 40% deposit, with the remaining balance charged before the service. See the details at oportobus.pt/how-booking-works.

4. Cancellations and changes

You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled start of the service (72 hours for coach services) and receive a refund, less only any fees we have to cover. Later cancellations, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund of the deposit.

Date or time changes are free when requested at least 48 hours in advance (72 hours for coach services) and subject to availability. If we must cancel a service for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund or an alternative date, at your choice.

In cases of force majeure (severe weather, road closures, official restrictions), we will propose an alternative date or a full refund.

5. During the service

Our drivers comply with Portuguese road law, including mandatory rest times. Seat belts must be worn at all times. Smoking is not allowed in the vehicles. We may refuse carriage to passengers whose behaviour endangers safety, without refund.

Waiting time for airport pickups includes flight monitoring; we track delays at no extra cost. For other pickups, waiting beyond 15 minutes may incur an additional charge, which we will always communicate first.

6. Liability

Our vehicles and passengers are covered by the insurance required by Portuguese law. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, such as traffic, weather or third-party actions, although we will always do our best to keep you on schedule.

Wine tastings, river cruises, meals and other third-party experiences included in tour programmes are provided by the respective venues, which are responsible for their own services.

7. Complaints and disputes

We want to fix problems quickly, so please contact us first. A complaints book (Livro de Reclamações) is available, including the electronic version at www.livroreclamacoes.pt. These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
